How Max Q handles your information.
Last updated: October 19, 2026
The privacy of your information is a big deal to us. It is your information, not ours. This policy lays out what we collect and why, when we access or share it, how long we keep it, and your rights. We never sell your information. Never have, never will.
This policy covers maxq.cc and our contact with you before and after you become a client: site visitors, people who take the quiz or request a call, founders we reach out to, and clients and the companies that pay for their coaching. It does not cover what a founder shares with their coach in sessions. That is protected by the confidentiality terms of the coaching agreement, which go further than this policy.
Questions go to info@maxq.cc.
What we collect and why
Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here is what that means in practice.
Identity and contact details
When you request a call, we ask for your name, your email address, and your company website, LinkedIn profile, or company name. You can also add your funding stage and a short note about what you want help with first. We use this to respond to your request, prepare for your call with Max Q, and arrange a coach introduction if there is a fit. We will not use your name or your company's name in marketing without your written permission. We may describe our work in anonymous terms that do not identify you or your company.
If we contact you first
Sometimes we reach out to a founder before they have heard of us. When we do, we found your name, role, and contact details in public sources such as your company's website, LinkedIn, press coverage, or a funding announcement. We use them only to introduce Max Q and keep a record of what we sent and what you replied. Tell us to stop and we will.
Quiz answers
The quiz asks about your role, where your company is today, what you want help with, your goals, whether you have worked with a coach before and with whom, any questions or concerns, and your answer to the question about the monthly price. Your answers stay in your browser while you move through the questions. We receive them only if you request a call, and then only together with your contact details. If you close the page or decide not to continue, we never receive your answers.
Website interactions
maxq.cc is hosted by Squarespace. Like any web host, Squarespace records standard technical information when a page loads, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, and it may set its own cookies to run the site. Squarespace's privacy policy covers that data. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. Beyond the visitor statistics Squarespace provides to every site it hosts, we do not run analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not let other companies collect information about your activity across other websites through maxq.cc. The site does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because it does not track you across sites in the first place.
Anti-bot checks
To block automated submissions, the call request form may use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person is submitting it. Turnstile evaluates signals from your browser and gives us only a pass or fail result. We do not see the evaluated information. Cloudflare's privacy policy covers that check.
Billing information
If you become a client, we collect what we need to invoice you or your company: the billing contact, the billing address, and the payment records. Card or bank details go directly to our payment provider and do not pass through Max Q. We keep a record of each payment for invoicing, tax, and account history.
Correspondence
When you email us, request a call, or book a time, we keep that correspondence, including your email address, so we have a history to refer to if you contact us again. Notes we make before or after a call with Max Q are kept with it.
When we access or share your information
To provide what you asked for. A small number of service providers process information on our behalf so the site and the call request work. Each handles data under its own privacy policy:
- Squarespace hosts the website.
- Cloudflare runs the small program that receives your call request and, when enabled, the anti-bot check. That program checks your request and emails it to us. It does not store your information.
- Resend delivers the request email to us and keeps a delivery record for a limited time.
- Our email provider stores the mailbox at info@maxq.cc.
- Calendly shows the booking calendar when one is offered. If you book a time, Calendly receives your name and email address to create the appointment and sends the confirmation and reminders.
- AI writing and note-taking tools help us draft documents and summarize calls. We use them only with settings that keep your information out of their training, and we do not use them to make decisions about you.
Inside Max Q. Only the people at Max Q who need your information to respond to you, arrange a coach introduction, or run your engagement can see it. Our coaches work with Max Q as employees or independent contractors; either way, each one is bound by written confidentiality terms with Max Q and may use your information only to coach you. Your coach sees what you shared in your request and your quiz answers so the first conversation starts in the right place.
Never for sale, never for ads. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising, and we do not use it for anything beyond responding to you and running coaching. We do not make automated decisions about you; a person reads every request and decides every introduction.
When required by law. Max Q is a United States company and keeps its information in the United States. We respond to requests for information only when legally compelled by a warrant, subpoena, or court order, and we will notify you before we disclose anything unless the law prohibits it. We may also share information to protect the rights and safety of Max Q, our coaches, or others.
If Max Q is acquired or merges with another company. We do not plan on it, but if it happens we will notify you before any of your personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Your rights with respect to your information
We apply the same rights to everyone, wherever you live:
- Right to know what we collect, why, and who else handles it. This policy is that list.
- Right of access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correction of anything we have wrong.
- Right to erasure. Ask and we will delete your request, your quiz answers, and our correspondence, and stop contacting you, unless we must keep a record to meet a legal obligation or to run a coaching engagement that is still active.
- Right to restrict or object to how we use your information.
- Right to portability. Ask and we will send you a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Right to complain to the privacy regulator where you live.
- Right to non-discrimination. Exercising these rights never changes the price or the service you get from us.
To use any of these rights, email info@maxq.cc. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, usually by writing back to the email address we have for you. If someone contacts us on your behalf, we will need your written permission before we act.
How we secure your information
Everything you send us travels over an encrypted connection. Your request goes straight from your browser to our Cloudflare program, which emails it to us and keeps nothing. We limit access to the people at Max Q who need it. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we go to real lengths to keep what little we hold safe.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as we have a reason to. A call request and our correspondence stay on file for as long as Max Q operates, so we can pick the conversation back up if you come back to us. Client records stay while you or your company work with a coach through Max Q and for a reasonable period afterward for our records and to meet legal obligations such as tax rules. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, subject to the exceptions above.
Children
maxq.cc is for founders and their companies. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Location of site and data
Max Q operates from the United States, and our website and service providers process your information in the United States. If you are outside the United States, any information you give us is transferred to and stored in the United States. By using the site or giving us your information, you agree to that transfer.
Changes and questions
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Questions, comments, or concerns about this policy or your information: email info@maxq.cc or write to us at the address below.
